Daniel and I had the wonderful opportunity of shooting Kristen and Dave’s wedding which was held at the lovely Pridwin Beach Hotel in Shelter Island, NY. Since this was the first wedding we’d shoot together, we were both very excited and nervous at the same time. Unfortunately the weather that day was a bit gloomy, but we still had an awesome time capturing photos of such wonderful, fun loving people! Kristen and Dave are both really into sports, so it was great that they whipped out the wiffle ball and bat and started playing around during our bridal party shoot before the ceremony!
After an entire day of shooting and being on our feet, I must say that we now have a new found respect for all the wedding photographers out there! It is definitely not as easy as it looks and much more intense than we originally thought it would be. Between working with your equipment and directing group portraits to capturing every once in a lifetime moment during the wedding, there’s barely any time to rest! So for all the wedding photographers out there, I raise a glass to
you as an appreciation of all the hard work you do that is so often
underestimated. Cheers!
All in all, photographing a wedding turned out to be quite a rewarding experience and Daniel and I were both very blessed to be asked to capture such a beautiful wedding. Above all, it was a priceless learning experience for us, and we only hope to learn more and improve with each shooting opportunity that we are given in the coming future!
