It seems like almost yesterday when we took photos of little Johanna when she just turned one year old. Now almost two years later, here we are taking photos of her little brother Christopher turning one year old himself! Boy does time fly and families multiply!

We certainly had a wonderful time chasing these little buggers around with our cameras a few weekends ago and found the backyard to be the best place to shoot the majority of the session. It was a joy to watch big sister Johanna interact with her little brother Christopher, and even though she poked and smothered him with aggressive hugs most of the time, you can definitely feel the sibling love between the two! So cute!

A very special birthday shout out to baby Christopher on his one year old birthday and a big thank you to our friends Tae and Yujin for inviting us to join them for the afternoon! You guys are such a beautiful family!

In Korean culture, it’s always a big celebration when a baby turns 1 year old! Being that my husband and I are not Korean (but have many friends that are), it’s always exciting for us to experience the festivities of a Korean baby’s first birthday (also known as “Dohl”).

Just a few weeks ago we were given the chance to photograph our friends Tae and Yujin’s adorable baby girl, Johanna, for her 1 year old portrait session. Besides the fact that Johanna is just so darn cute, she makes the most animated expressions that can keep you entertained for hours. We certainly had fun following this fast little crawler (and soon to be running toddler) around with our cameras and capturing her all dressed up in her Hanbok!

Happy birthday Johanna! Much love from your Chinese parents, hahaha!
