Daniel and I had a blast getting to know Ivy and Young while shooting their engagement session in Hoboken a couple weekends ago. We didn’t have a particular location in mind for the shoot, so we decided to do some exploring on foot, hoping to stumble upon some photogenic spots. Much to our delight, we were able to discover the gorgeous Hoboken Terminal on Hudson Place and spent much of the session shooting in and around this gem of a station. We just loved this historic building and were not surprised when we later found out that several films have been shot there, including Eric Clapton’s, “Change the World”, music video.

Working with Ivy and Young was quite a treat for us since they are such genuine, happy people! Between Ivy’s contagious laughter and Young’s million dollar smile, Daniel and I had a hard time keeping a straight face behind the camera. We also have to give them props for their awesome wardrobe selections, especially Ivy’s adorable yellow dress (which worked so well for that cloudy afternoon).

These two lovebirds are definitely meant to be and we can’t wait to shoot their wedding in April! Thank you Ivy and Young for allowing us to spend the afternoon with you guys!

Last weekend I had the great honor of photographing our lovely friend, Shirley, and her husband, Mike, for their maternity session! They are due any day now, and soon the world will get to meet baby girl, Amelie! We can’t wait for her arrival!

There’s something so beautiful and serene about an expecting mother, and Shirley is definitely glowing with motherhood! We had a lot of fun thinking of poses, playing with lighting, and cracking up during the shoot. She’s a fellow artist herself with loads of creativity, which made for an exciting shoot!

We were also able to capture several gorgeous nude maternity shots, but it was agreed that the pics were too hot to handle for the general public, so we’ll keep those for mom and dad’s eyes only!

Thank you Shirley and Mike for allowing me to capture the three of you and we can’t wait to meet baby Amelie! Yay!
