Last month, Daniel and I decided to venture up north in hopes to capture the fall foliage. Our destination was to shoot somewhere in the Catskills Mountains, only to realize that we didn’t know where to start. Finally some locals at a nearby Stewarts Root Beer shop suggested we visit Woodstock down the road, so we decided to take their advice and head onward to the land of funky shops and old hippies.
Woodstock and the towns nearby turned out to be the perfect place to capture the turning leaves. We discovered beautiful lakes surrounded by multi-colored trees and rolling hills, only to be kicked out moments later by park patrol since most of the lakes were used as water supply.
Regardless of the minor incident, I highly suggest visiting Woodstock for its phenomenal scenery and groovy hippie shops. I didn’t get as many photos as I had hoped, but sometimes the best shots are the ones you capture with your own eyes.
Peace and love my friends ![]()
